NEW YORK–Nautica Apparel has reached a licensing agreement with Welspun Mexico to manufacture, distribute and sell home-fashion products in Mexico.
The collection includes bedding products, blankets, bath towels, bath accessories, beach towels and window treatments. It will be sold in major department stores and specialty stores in Mexico beginning in spring 2009. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Nautica already has a relationship with Welspun USA, according to Maria Vicari, president of global licensing for the lifestyle brand. The new agreement “will further enhance our already successful Nautica Home business in Mexico, as well as facilitate the further expansion of our international home-furnishings business,” Vicari said in a Nautica statement.
