ATLANTA–MFG.com and Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) have joined forces to support the online sourcing communities for apparel and textiles.
MFG.com is an online global marketplace for manufacturers whose textiles sector connects producers of home textiles, apparel, footwear and commercial textiles with suppliers. WRAP is a non-profit organization that certifies facilities engaged in lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing throughout the world.
In a joint statement from the two new partners, Tony Forcucci, global director of MFG.com’s textiles and apparel sourcing, said the alliance combines the Web company’s rating system with WRAP certification, which “takes the guesswork out of the due-diligence process when looking for socially compliant suppliers of textiles and apparel.”
