CAROL STREAM, Ill.–Mirror and decorative accessories company The Howard Elliott Collection has acquired Chicago Textile Corp., a contemporary furniture, bedding and textile manufacturer. Chicago Textiles Corp. owner Jean Joseph will be joining The Howard Elliott Collection as president of the new division, said Robert Fleisher, vice president of sales for The Howard Elliott Collection.
Chicago Textile Corp. has previously showed its line in The Howard Elliott Collection showroom at the Las Vegas Market, Fleisher said. Its product line—which includes easily removable slipcovers for a number of furniture pieces and in a wide array of fabrics—was appealing to The Howard Elliott Collection. Its product line “allows for all kinds of configurations,” Fleisher said. “We wanted to get involved.”
Chicago Textile Corp. needed resources in order to take it to the next level, he added, and The Howard Elliott Collection will help it do that.
The Howard Elliot Collection was showing in its expanded showroom space this market, Fleisher said, and in High Point next month it will exhibit at Showplace in a larger space.
