NEW YORK-The Chatwal New York, a hotel slated to open here in the theater district in spring 2010, has formed collaborations with several home-furnishings products manufacturers.
Down Etc, Frette, Sferra Bros. and Shifman Mattress have agreed to manufacture products exclusively for The Chatwal’s clientele. Down Etc will produce a white goose down comforter, pillows filled with white goose down and white goose feathers, and pillows filled with the company’s AquaPlush down alternative. Frette will make a range of bed linens and terry products for the hotel’s rooms. Through its hospitality division, Sferra will contribute the St. Moritz blanket. Shifman has produced The Chatwal New York Bed, a handmade mattress using organic and environmentally friendly materials.
According to a statement from The Chatwal, the hotel has been designed in the style prevalent in New York City during the 1930s.
