NEW YORK–Su Hilty, vice president of marketing for 7 W New York, will retire in June.
Hilty joined the showroom building in 2004, after serving as vice president of marketing for the 225 Fifth Ave. showroom building. A statement from MMPI, 7 W New York’s owner, credited her with for playing a crucial role in establishing the building as a showroom location for vendors in the gift, home-furnishings, tabletop and textiles industries.
“We reluctantly accept Su’s resignation knowing 7 W and MMPI will not be the same without her efforts and dedication,” said Joan Ulrich, senior vice president, MMPI. “We were lucky to have Su lead the marketing charge when we launched 7 W and she has continued to support our customers and team with best in class marketing. While we will miss her personally and professionally, Hilty’s decision to start this new chapter in her life will allow her to pursue her passion for travel, as well as expand her involvement with charity organizations and other volunteer associations. She is truly a valued resource and we intend to continue to tap into her talents whenever possible.”
Hilty will remain involved with the International Furnishings and Design Association, where she was past president of the New York chapter. She will also maintain her involvement in the Home Products Advisory Board of the Fashion Institute of Technology, The Fashion Group International, Gift for Life, Alpha Chi Omega and the Global Give Back Circle.
Jessica Kreider, marketing manager for 7 W New York, will assume many of Hilty’s responsibilities and will work closely with Nancy Michael, senior marketing and strategy director for MMPI.
