ANDERSON, S.C.–Glen Raven’s manufacturing center here has earned certification under the International Organization for Standardization after undergoing a series of inspections by an independent auditor, which covered all phases of its operations.
The certification covers the plant’s environmental procedures, processes and planning activities, as well as continual improvement programs in environmental management. The process also included all of the Anderson facility employees, who are trained in environmental standards and procedures, according to a statement from Glen Raven.
Jack Woodson, the facility’s manager, said the certification demonstrates Glen Raven’s commitment to environmental responsibility along with providing high-quality products. The company produces the patented Sunbrella brand of fabrics for awnings, boats and furniture.
