WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-This month’s New York International Gift Fair will feature almost 400 companies representing 43 countries around the world.
The show is scheduled for Jan. 26-30 at its usual venues, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94 in New York City. Most of the international exhibitors will be grouped in 12 government-sponsored pavilions or organized groups, located in three of the Gift Fair’s 10 divisions.
Five international pavilions will be located in the show’s General Gift division, representing France, Germany, Israel, Japan and the United Kingdom. The Accent on Design division will include the return of the British Design Group, with three companies, and the Accent on Japan group, with four companies.
Both sections of the Handmade division, Handmade Designer Maker and Handmade Global Design, will have international presences. Within Handmade Designer Maker, Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH, Messe Stuttgart will return with 22 companies, and the British Contemporary Crafts group will include 17 companies. In Handmade Global Design, the Israel Export Institute will represent two companies.
Other international vendors will be participating in Artisan Resource, the trade show that runs concurrently with the Gift Fair, which is owned and managed by GLM, which also owns and manages NYIGF. The Consulate General of Indonesia will participate in Artisan Resource with two companies, and the Dudhraj Global Business Network from Nepal will represent 10 companies.
