NEW YORK–CHF Industries heads into the textiles show here next week with two new licensed lines.
The company has partnered with Alex, an award-winning toy company, on a new line of bedding and bath products that marry Alex’s graphic, whimsical style with solutions for everyday parenting dilemmas. For example, traditional home textiles items will have an interactive element that makes the transition from bathtime to bedtime easier.
“CHF has a strong history of bringing inventive kids’ products to the market,” Joan Karron, executive vice president of CHF, said in a statement. “Alex toys has a dedicated following by parents, kids, grandparents and over 4,000 retailers worldwide. We hope to add to the magic by offering better quality products for kids’ rooms under the excellence of the Alex brand.”
Nurit Amdur, chief executive officer of Alex, said, “Partnering with CHF will enable us to bring creative solutions to the most-used rooms in the house, while also engaging children in what they enjoy most: play. We chose to partner with CHF because of their mutual interest in bringing innovative products to the marketplace.”
CHF is also launching Blah, Blah, Blah, a collection of irreverent bed and bath products through its partnership with Joe Boxer. The line, geared toward college-bound kids, takes its inspiration from “t-shirt and underwear chic” and gives a witty approach to everyday items. It is the first home furnishings collection under the Blah, Blah, Blah label, an underwear and sleepwear brand that Joe Boxer founder Nick Graham launched in Pac Sun stores last year.
“Nick often knows what consumers want before they do,” said Frank Foley, chairman and chief executive officer of CHF. “We believe this affordably priced collection … is exactly what they want and what’s missing at retail today.”
