NEW YORK–Iconix Brand Group has signed a deal with Brooke Shields for the actress and her family to star in the print and online marketing campaign for the company’s home brand, Royal Velvet. The campaign is scheduled to coincide with the launch of Royal Velvet at Bed Bath & Beyond.
Under the theme of “Royal Moments,” the advertisements in the campaign feature Shields, her husband and two daughters sharing a series of simple, relatable family moments, the company said. For example, one image features the family snuggling in bed, while another finds them sitting by the pool.
In a statement regarding the deal, the company said Shields was chosen because she is “an iconic modern woman,” one “the Royal Velvet customers will relate to” for her ability to balance home and family with a busy career.
The company said its latest collection was designed with a focus on color. Twenty-four hues are being offered, all of which will be available at Bed Bath & Beyond.
