DALLAS–Dallas Market Center and the Accessories Resource Team (ART) have announced that Don McEvoy of Donald McEvoy Ltd. will receive the Academy of Achievement Award at the 21st annual ARTS Awards event on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010. The Academy of Achievement award is given to someone who has made significant contributions to the decorative accessories industry. The gala will take place during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, Jan. 13 to 19.
“For more than 45 years, Don McEvoy has worked tirelessly to incubate new companies and to help retailers thrive,” said Bill Winsor, president and chief executive officer, Dallas Market Center. “ He remains a vital partner in the success of countless businesses. The home decor industry has no better friend and advocate than Don.”
Tickets to the event are $125 each for ART members (or $900 for a table of eight) and $150 for non-members each (or $1,080 for a table of eight).
