CARTHAGE, Mo.–Felix Wright, chairman of the board of Leggett & Platt, and Harry Cornell, chairman emeritus, will not seek re-election to the company’s board.
Cornell, grandson of J.P. Leggett, the company’s co-founder, joined Leggett & Platt in 1950. Wright joined the company in 1959, when he was hired by Cornell. The board’s nominating committee has recommended the election of Richard T. Fisher as the board’s independent chairman. Fisher has served as the board’s president director since 2003.
