High Point, N.C.— Cheminne Taylor-Smith has been named vice president of marketing for the High Point Market Authority, the group that oversees the big furniture market here.
She succeeds Kimberley Wray, who left the Market Authority last month for personal and family reasons.
In her new post, which she starts on Aug. 2, Taylor-Smith will provide strategic direction for marketing and will oversee all public relations and communications.

Taylor-Smith has spent close to 20 years in the home furnishings industry in trade media, publicity and marketing. She most recently was the public relations director for Elle Décor magazine and she also has held posts with Lexington Home Brands, InFurniture magazine, Home Accents Today and Furniture/Today.
