PICO RIVERA, Calif.–Larry Rinaldi is retiring as president of AICO/Amini Innovation Corp. after 11 years with the furniture company, the past eight as president.

No successor has been announced, but the company said it expects to fill the spot soon and will create an additional number of new positions as well.

“We owe the tremendous growth of our company to Larry,” said Michael Amini, chairman, founder and chief executive officer of AICO. “He brought integrity and dignity to our company and, simply said, he was my rock. Although I selfishly would like him to stay, our arms are open for him to come back at any time he may wish.”

Rinaldi spent 46 years in the furniture business, working on both the retail and manufacturing sides of the industry, including stints at Sears, Stratford/Stratolounger and Schnadig.

“I feel so privileged to be a part of such a talented staff,” said Rinaldi. “It has been a wonderful experience to work with Michael Amini and the extraordinary company that he has built.”

Rinaldi said he plans to spend more time with his family, including his wife of 46 years, Mary Jo.
