NEW YORK–The International Furnishings and Design Association has given the Museum of Arts and Design its Big Apple award.
The association honored the museum for its contribution to the cultural life of New York City through its long-time presentation of handcrafted art. IFDA presented the award at a gala reception at the museum’s new home, 2 Columbus Circle here, into which the museum recently moved. The expanded location will enable the museum to permanently display as many as 250 pieces from its collections, according to a statement from IFDA.
A portion of the proceeds from the reception will be donated to the museum.
