HUDSON, N.C.-Kincaid Furniture has begun a series of initiatives to promote its partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
According to a Kincaid statement, the furniture manufacturer is currently Habitat’s only home-furnishings corporate partner. Recently, Kincaid held a “build day” at two Habitat homes in Lenoir, N.C., at which more than 30 company staffers spent a day installing insulation and hanging siding at one home and painting the interior of another.
To help celebrate the completion of Habitat’s 500th home, Kincaid is introducing a Facebook challenge during October. For each new “like” on Kincaid’s Facebook page, facebook.com/kincaidfurniturecompany, the company will donate $1, up to $10,000, to Habitat.
During the High Point Market in October, Kincaid will provide retailers and designers with two dedicated computer stations. Guests to the company’s showroom will be able to “like” Kincaid’s Facebook page, helping the company to maximize its contribution. In addition, Kincaid is partnering with the High Point Market Authority’s “Six Causes that Matter” program, which will feature other opportunities for giving on Oct. 24, the day which the authority has designated for Habitat for Humanity.
