HIGH POINT, N.C.–The April High Point Market will feature a full lineup of educational sessions and live entertainment by Cheap Trick, Kool & The Gang, and blues guitarist Robert Cray, courtesy of the High Point Market Authority.
The HPMA’s Stars Under the Stars evening concert series kicks off Monday, April 7, with Kool & The Gang playing such hits as “Celebration,” “Get Down On It” and “Ladies Night,” among others.
On Tuesday, April 8, the series continues with rock group Cheap Trick. Well-known for their Beatlesque power pop, the band’s biggest hits include “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender” and “The Flame.” On Wednesday, April 9, blues guitarist Robert Cray, will perform.
All Stars Under The Stars concerts, which take place under the Showplace Tent, begin at 7:30 p.m., with the doors opening at 7 p.m. They are open to Market attendees with a current Market badge and a valid picture ID. No one under the age of 15 will be admitted.
Additionally, there will be musical entertainment under the Showplace Tent and across the Market, along with an abundance of complimentary food and drink options.
High Point Market has also ramped up its educational sessions during Market week, April 7 to 13.
Among these, Merchandise Mart Properties will stage a series of ‘green’ luncheon seminars sponsored by the Sustainable Furniture Council in the Suites at Market Square, while The Interior Design Society has planned a variety of speakers and events for its new seminar space in the organization’s new national headquarters housed in the Radio Building.
