HIGH POINT, N.C.–The second annual Sustainability Summit, sponsored by the American Home Furnishings Alliance, is scheduled for Dec. 2-3 in Greensboro, N.C. The conference is designed to help home furnishings companies address eco-friendly concerns and learn how to develop products for this market. Companies do not need to be members of the AHFA to attend.
The two-day program opens with a presentation from the Good Housekeeping Research Institute’s Miriam Arond, which just launched the Good Housekeeping Green Seal. Also on the program are Suzanne Shelton, president of the Shelton Group, a research company that will present new findings on the green market and how to address it; Heather Gadonniex of MindClick, a sustainability consulting firm; and case study presentations from companies such as Kincaid, Hooker and Flexsteel.
Cargill’s BiOH unit, which is a co-sponsor of the entire event, will also honor the finalists in the second annual Sage Award competition.
Registration and additional information is available on the organization’s Web site, ahfa.us.
