LAS VEGAS–A group of retailers, manufacturers, representatives and suppliers in the home furnishings industry will gather for an industrywide Web summit on Feb. 8, the day before the beginning of Las Vegas Market.
The summit is scheduled for 12:45 to 6 p.m. in the Las Vegas Room of Harrah’s here. Among the topics that will be discussed are the importance of online content development, search-engine and pay-per-click optimization, segmenting and personalizing e-mail campaigns, and the relevant facts of e-commerce. Mary Frye, president of the Home Furnishings Independents Association, will emcee the event.
Among the panel of Web experts who will speak at the event are Rick Doran, president and chief executive officer of R&A Marketing; Mark Phelps, president and CEO of Partner Marketing; David McMahon, director of e-commerce for PROFITconsulting; and David Lively, president and CEO of The Lively Merchant.
