LAS VEGAS–International Market Centers has confirmed that eight individuals were let go recently from the organization—three people in High Point, N.C. and five in Las Vegas.

“With the integration of the four previous companies into one, there is a degree of reorganization that must occur in our new IMC operations,” said Dana Andrew, vice president of marketing and PR,

World Market Center Las Vegas, an IMC, L.P. property. “Part of this process will result in some personnel changes with both reductions and additions to the organization. We respect and appreciate the contributions of the affected individuals, and are committed to providing tools to help them with their career transition.”

IMC does have seven other positions open, Andrew said. Five of them are available in either High Point, N.C., or Las Vegas, such as chief marketing officer/chief strategy officer and COO. Other open positions include president of Gift + Home and tenant relations manager, both located in Las Vegas.

International Market Centers was launched in May, with a portfolio that included the World Market Center buildings in Las Vegas, plus the International Home Furnishings Center and the Market Square Complex (consisting of eight properties) in High Point. In July, IMC completed its acquisition of five additional buildings in High Point, N.C. — Showplace, Showplace West and three North Hamilton Street showroom facilities.
