HIGH POINT, N.C.-- Richard and Diana Apgar, of Middletown, Ohio, have been named the winners of Capel Rug's Harley Davidson giveaway.
The bike in question, a 100th anniversary edition black-and-chrome Harley Davidson Sportster XL 1200c, was on display at the Capel showroom during High Point Market and was raffled off in honor of the company's 90th anniversary this year.
The Apgars work for Interiors by Decorating Den. Diana Apgar is an interior designer and Richard Apgar is an installer.
Allen Robertson, vice president of sales for Capel, said the company went with a Harley because Capel considers the two brand names to be "American classics. Both names have a long, rich history of making quality products in the United States," he said.
"Richard is especially excited about winning the Harley," Diana Apgar said, adding he "has already shared the news with the whole neighborhood."
Past markets have found Capel raffling off prizes of Vespa scooters, a classic MG convertible and his-and-hers Tiffany watches.
