DALLAS–Loloi Rugs has teamed up with artist and licensor Kate McRostie for a line of accent rugs that will bow at next month’s New York Home Fashions Market.
McRostie is known for using the colors and textures of Tuscany, Normandy and Provence, using decorative icons on sophisticated backgrounds. She will be at the Loloi showroom, suite #1009 in 295 Fifth Avenue, on March 9.
“We scoured the marketplace to find something fresh and new for the scatter category, which often suffers from throwaway designs with limited or kitschy style,” said Amir Loloi, owner. “With these new Kate McRostie designs, we are bringing to our customers a higher level of style, complexity and refinement.”
McRostie works with more than 40 manufacturers and has licensed lines in gifts, stationery, dinnerware, kitchen decor, holiday decor and more. Her designs, inspired by antiques, world travels, and flea market finds will include coastal, floral, holiday and everyday designs for the Loloi line.
“It’s so exciting to see how Loloi has translated my paintings into such beautiful rugs,” said McRostie. “The unique textures and high quality of the rugs combined with the designs really offer something new to consumers.”
