DALTON, Ga.- Karastan has created coordinate rug tags as a merchandising tool to benefit both retailers and consumers. The goal of the tags is to ease the complexity of cross-promoting for the dealer and take the guesswork out of coordinated decorating for the shopper.
Anne Carley, director of rug marketing for Karastan, said the company made the move because it is aware that the larger homes and open floor plans of today's housing market often require the use of more than one rug. "In response, we've increased our coordinate options, offering many patterns in shared palettes that team with three or more rugs," Carley said. "By putting images of these rugs on hanging tags, we make finding compatible options quick and easy."
The coordinate tags are currently offered for Karastan's English Manor, Sierra Mar and Axminster collections and will expand with introductions. An online version is available through karastan.com.
