Creative Home Ideas, a 30-year-old family-owned business, began a new chapter in its company’s history with a new showroom at the recent textiles market here.
Besides more room for its wide variety of accent, scatter, kitchen and bath rugs, the new showroom/design studio also provides additional space for its sales, product development and design teams as they work with customers to develop new product programs.
“We realized long ago that our job is not only to sell products to our customers, but to assist them in creating a positive experience for their shoppers,” said Yaron Shemesh, executive vice president of Creative Home Ideas.
Since Shemesh joined the company—which his father founded in 1981—he has lead the company to grow its product line.
“We have added many new constructions and designs at our customers’ request, to fill the gaps that they saw in their assortment,” Shemesh said. “It became too difficult to show all of our strengths in the old showroom. I guess we were bursting at the seams.”
Because it owns and operates its facility in Langfang, China,—and doesn’t just contract work to a foreign manufacturer—the company has the ability to create almost any quality a retailer sees fit for its clientele at what it describes as “recession friendly prices.”
Product options include olefin heat-set rugs, cotton-olefin blends, microfiber materials and certain proprietary, synthetic fiber blends.
