NEW YORK–7 W New York will host the fifth annual New York International Carpet Show, a leading trade show of high-end decorative and Oriental carpets. Scheduled for September 20 to 22, the NYICS will run in tandem with the annual New York Market Week, September 21 to 25.
7 W’s Designer Day series will also take place during the New York International Carpet Show, including a panel discussion on Monday, September 21, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Led by designer and author Roderick Shade, the panel will address the design value of the decorative and Oriental rug, with a complementary lunch afterwards.
“Our aim is to increase the exposure, leads and sales of our exhibitors and to do this at an attractive trade show in the middle of Manhattan,” said Dennis Dodds, owner of the NYICS. “Centrally located, 7 W increases our visibility, and elevates the brands of our artisan carpet makers who exhibit at NYICS. It also extends our reach into a larger and more varied pool of buyers.”
“The NYICS is a perfect partner for 7 W,” said Chris Collins, vice president and general manager, 7 W New York. “The rug market is a very important part of our business and we look forward to bringing additional value to this market and many years of success as we partner with Dennis and his team here in New York.”
