ART Card Participants, ART Events, Scheduled for Las Vegas Market

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Accessories Resource Team (ART), the association for the decorative accessory segment of the home furnishings industry, has 15 vendors participating in the organization’s ART Card program during the upcoming Las Vegas Market, July 30-Aug. 3. In addition, ART will host a mini-seminar series in two vendor showrooms and co-sponsor a market-wide merchandising seminar during market.
The ART card program allows ART members to take advantage of exclusive market specials from participating vendors when they place an order and present their ART card. Specials include free freight or a percentage off with minimum order, as well as Amazon and Starbucks gift cards.

In addition, ART will co-host a merchandising seminar as well as continue its mini-seminar series, which features a short, 15-20 minute presentation.
On Tuesday, July 31, Paul Thompson, principal designer, Paul Thompson Signature, will present “Customer Perceptions and Visual Merchandising Strategies,” starting at 10 a.m., Building C, C344, and co-sponsored by ART and IMC. Thompson will discuss the use of imaginative and inspired product presentations to generate the customer’s impulse to purchase, and understanding various merchandising styles and formats.
ART’s mini-seminar series kicks off Tuesday, July 31 with “Branding and the Importance of Differentiation in a World of Sameness,” beginning at 2 p.m. and presented by Mark Phillips, CEO, of the Phillips Collection. It will be held in the company’s showroom, Building A, A202. Phillips will share his ideas and experiences navigating the world of home furnishings marketing. The seminar is co-sponsored by ART and the Phillips Collection.
Then on Wednesday, Aug. 1, Josh Jarboe, national sales manager, Global Views, will present “Refreshing with Color,” at 10 a.m. in the Global Views’ showroom, Building A , A154. Jarboe will guide participants through recognizing color trends, using color stories to build dramatic spaces and freshening up existing vignettes with color. The seminar is co-sponsored by ART and Global Views.
