NEW YORK–ABC Carpet has launched an interactive custom design station in its Modern Rug Gallery. The digital interface station allows customers the option of customizing their rug by selecting from thousands of rugs in the store and manipulating the color, texture, pile, size and material variations to suit their individual style.
A 36-inch plasma screen shows a spectrum of 600 silk and 600 wool tones. Users can also manipulate motif, trade between a traditional pile or loop pile and utilize the magnification feature to view the surface up close. The program also allows for the final creation to be placed in seven different room settings to provide a more realistic view of the rug in a home environment.
The interactive design station is located at ABC’s 881 Broadway location in Manhattan.
