NEW YORK–For a “The Today Show” segment about decorating for both sexes, a dhurrie rug from Safavieh was sited as a masculine look that could be mixed with more feminine decor. Airing on Jan. 22, the segment featured Susanna Salk from ivillage.com and “The Today Show” host Savannah Guthrie.

The rug, DHU553C, is a wool flatweave dhurrie made in India and is currently featured on the current Woven Wonders sale by One Kings Lane for $249 in the 5-by-8 size.

“We never thought about designing rugs that would result in happier homes by solving decorating disputes,” said Cyrus Yaraghi, Safavieh principal. “But this specific rug has done very well since it was introduced, and it could be as ‘The Today Show’ hosts explain: ‘It would work equally well in a man cave and a family room.’”
