CALHOUN, Ga.–Surya has expanded its social media reach, launching its page on Pinterest, the content sharing service that allow members to “pin” images, video and other objects to their pinboards.
In addition, the company has released its latest catalog, Surya Square.
For its Pinterest page, found at http://pinterest.com/suryasocial/, Surya has 23 décor boards featuring its Spring 2012 introductions,
designer products and latest colors and trends, and which will be updated regularly.
“We have been creating mood boards for years in our catalog, but couldn’t find a simple tool to share digitally,” said Satya Tiwari,
president, Surya. “Pinterest is what we were looking for all along and we are thrilled to make our virtual pinboards easily accessible to
Surya community. I am not surprised to see why Pinterest is being heavily used by its growing user base of over 10 million.”
At High Point Market, which starts tomorrow, Surya will provide social media training April 21-24 in its new showroom, Showplace 4100.
In addition, Surya has released its 2012 catalog, Surya Square, the 14th edition of its catalog, which is printed twice a year and sent to
its current customers the week before High Point Market.
Besides editorial sections that highlight the company’s design process, the 396-page catalog also includes an interview with Candice
Olson, who has a licensed line with Surya.
Surya Square showcases more than 2,000 area rugs and 1,000 accessories covering pillows, throws, poufs and wall art. The catalog also
highlights its 350 best-selling rugs in its newly expanded Quick Ship program, which guarantees shipment of 5-by-8 and 8-by-11 within 72
