ANDERSON, S.C.—Orian Rugs will open its first High Point Market showroom next month, exhibiting in Showplace, space 3233. The 6,500-square-foot space will show Orian’s full line, but will emphasize its new Gallery collection, which debuted in January and targets the furniture, specialty and independent regional retailers.
“We had a great reaction to Gallery in January,” said Mikala Moller, director of marketing. And based on the types of retailers the collection targets, exhibiting at High Point Market made sense. “We want to continue that momentum” at High Point, and Showplace “ is a premier location.”
The company also recently brought on two sales executives to oversee the furniture/independent retail channel within the Gallery collection. Paul Crump is vice president of sales for the Southeast region, and Mike Donovan is the vice president of sales for the Midwest region. Both positions are new and report to Brandon Culpepper, vice president of sales. Crump, based in Georgia, has more than 13 years of sales experience in the floor covering industry. Based in Michigan, Donovan brings more than seven years of experience in the area rug business.
The company is looking for a representative to cover the Northeast region.
