LAS VEGAS–Eighteen people have received hotel and hospitality prizes in conjunction with Las Vegas Market, part of an inaugural “Block the Book” promotion sponsored by International Market Centers and Connections Housing last month.
“Las Vegas Market continues to enhance market amenities and our ‘Book The Block’ campaign is proving to be an extremely fun and popular promotion among market participants,” said Scott Eckman, chief marketing and strategy officer, IMC. “Las Vegas Market is always seeking new and innovative ways to support and benefit our customers.”
Grand prize winner Susan Bahadurian-Vogel, buyer for Norm Thompson Outfitters/Solutions Catalog in Hillsboro, Ore., won a Las Vegas VIP New Year’s Eve 2014/2015 party. Bahadurian-Vogel will ring in 2015 in Las Vegas at an MGM Resort Hotel, with airfare for two, VIP party for two and limousine transfers included.
Six complimentary hotel stays were awarded to buyers Sandy Queen of Castle Rock, Colo.; Roger Cazin of Cazin in Evanston, Wyo.; Patricia Brown of The Patio in El Paso, Texas and Bob Elsen of Charles Eifen & Assoc. in Denver, Colo., and exhibitors Linda Brumbaugh of Visser Enterprises in Fountain Valley, Calif. and Greg Jordt of Harounian Rugs in New York.
Five buyers won hotel suite upgrades: Michael Allen of Brand Source on Mercer Island, Wash.; Jeanette Coulter of Design Philosophy in Lebanon, N.J.; Vidal Cantu of Cantu Interiors in Laredo, Texas; Gary Cornblath of Macy’s in New York and Jonathan Craner of Overstock.com in Salt Lake City.
Free show tickets were won by buyers Andrea Myers of Orange Park, Fla.; Barbara Perez of Luna Bella in Hialeah, Fla.; Charlotte Knight of Furniture Market in Beaver Dam, Ky.; and Stan Froneberger of Greensboro, N.C. Two buyers also won free dinner for two: Sandy White of St. Joseph Gift Shop in Lewiston, Idaho and Steven Hanchey of Wilson Bates Furniture in Twin Falls, Idaho.
