NEW YORK–Longtime industry veteran Elizabeth Miller passed away yesterday after a five-year battle with cancer.
Besides serving as senior vice president of design at Karastan Rugs, a division of Mohawk Home, she was also the force behind Home for the Cure, the industry-wide fundraiser for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This past October a fundraiser held at CHF Industries honored Miller for her work on behalf of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
“Those of you that had the pleasure of knowing Elizabeth will always remember her determination to fight the battle against this disease,” said an e-mail to its members from Executives Working in Home Textiles, which is donating $500 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Miller’s memory and honor. “She fought with amazing grace and dignity and will be missed by all who knew her.”
The funeral will be held tomorrow, May 5, at 12:30 p.m. at Joseph Levine & Son Memorial Chapel in Trevose, Penn. A memorial service will be held in New York City at a later date. Contributions in her memory can be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
