NEW YORK–JLA Home has signed an agreement with Natori Co. to extend its license into accent and occasional furniture, room accessories, table and floor lighting, and area rugs.
According to Scott Howard, JLA’s vice president of sales, the new products will complement JLA’s current offerings in the Natori line of decorative bedding and bath products. JLA has had the Natori license in textiles for the past five years. The new product line will be manufactured from lacquer, ceramics and porcelain, wood, bamboo, metal and glass, according to a joint statement from Natori and E&E Ltd., JLA’s parent company.
Targeted retail price points will be $75 to $850 for the room accessories, $299 to $5,000 for the furniture, $299 to $2,500 for the lighting and $850 to $5,000 for the area rugs. The line is slated for launch at retail in fall 2011. The target retail channels will be high-end department, specialty stores and Web sites; and JLA’s strategy for the line will include viral marketing and social media.
