DALLAS–At the upcoming High Point Market, Feizy Rugs will continue to donate a portion of all market orders to The Global Fund for Children, an organization that finds and invests in community-based groups worldwide to transform the lives of children. The company has set a goal to donate at least $40,000 to GFC by April 2014 and is more than halfway to its goal.
To date, GFC has invested more than $29 million in nearly 550 grassroots organizations in 78 countries, affecting the lives of more than nine million children and youth.
In addition, Feizy will also continue its celebration of its 40th anniversary with a “Fabulous & 40” 1940s inspired party in its Market Square showroom, 143, on Monday, Oct. 21 starting at 5 p.m. Guests will be treated to live music by The Boilermaker Jazz Band, a martini bar, hors d’oeuvres, swing dance lessons and more. Attendees who complete the “40 Years of Feizy” tour will be entered to win an iPad.
The company will also debut additions to its Fine Collection of handknotted rugs. The successful Mambasa collection, made in handspun bamboo silk, will add three designs, also in African-inspired contemporary designs. Two designs have been added to the Tesoro collection; they are handknotted in two different fiber combinations (wool and bamboo silk or 100 percent bamboo silk) and are of classic damask patterns with updated palettes.
“These additions are all simply stunning,” said John Feizy, founder and CEO. “They all have a magnificent sheen which adds a tremendous amount of dimension and life to the seemingly simple designs.”
