DALLAS–A contemporary tribal design from Angela Flournoy took the top spot in Feizy Rugs’ second annual rug design contest.
“I’ve dreamed of designing textiles for quite some time,” Flournoy said. “This amazing opportunity gave me the boost I needed to make my dream happen. Thanks, Feizy!” Flournoy received $1,000 for her first-place win.
Sammie Hunt came in second with a trendy geometric design and will receive $500, and Lindsey Webb’s elegant emerald design placed third. Webb will receive $250.
Last month, Feizy invited people to enter up to two design entries. The top five entries were then posted on the company’s Facebook and Pinterest pages where fans could vote for their favorites–votes that were considered when choosing winners.
“We had a great time reviewing all of the entries,” said Leah Feizy, executive vice president. “Our design team especially appreciated the contestants’ fresh perspectives and design influences and we were all excited about the public participation and comments we received through our Facebook and Pinterest pages for the contest.”
