PETALUMA, Calif.–Contemporary rugmaker emma gardner design is in the midst of a seven-city road show, to both debut its new collection as well as give the design community a chance to meet with the designer Emma Gardner, principal and creative director.
Gardner will talk to people her inspiration and design process, showcase the new couture collection and learn firsthand from designers about their clients’ needs and current projects. The event looks to build on a 20 percent sales increase last year, the company said.
Following an initial stop in San Francisco, the campaign is now at local dealers in New York before officially launching the new collection at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). From there, emma gardner design will hit the La Cienega Design Quarter (LCDQ) in Los Angeles where the rugs will be the featured window display at Decorative Carpets through June. The collection will continue the tour with designer, editor and showroom visits in key national markets including Dallas, Denver, Atlanta and Miami.
“We wanted to get back to basics and speak with the tastemakers who bring our products to life,” said Gardner. “I love the collaborative aspect of my work. Each custom project represents a new and interesting life for a design.”
Patrick McDarrah, president, emma gardner design, added, “The interior design community understands the value of handmade, fashion-forward, luxury pieces. Speaking with them directly while offering unparalleled customer service to our distributors is a major factor in our growth strategy.”
