DALLAS–Dallas Market Center and Accessories Resource Team (ART) have announced the judges for the 24th annual ARTS Awards: Melanie Belew, Cheryl Holland-Bridges, Jena Hall, Susan Inglis, Leslie Newsom Rascoe and Ignaz Gorischek. These judges will select the winners in 23 different categories, and the awards will be presented during a gala event on Saturday. Jan. 19, 2013, at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
Belew is returning as a judge for the second year in a row and has more than 20 years experience in both residential and commercial design, creating a broad spectrum of interiors ranging from classical to contemporary. Holland-Bridges is director of the Center for Retailing Studies and executive professor of marketing at Texas A&M’s May Business School, and has spent more than 25 years as a senior executive in the retailing industry. A recent inductee as a fellow in the Furniture Hall of Fame, Hall is president and CEO of Jena Hall Associates, where she consults and designs for HGTV Home Furniture and other clients. With more than 20 years experience as a producer, importer, sourcing agent and broker in the home furnishings, fashion and gift industries, Inglis will continue as the judge of the Green Award, which recognizes excellence in sustainable manufacturing practices and standards. Newsom Rascoe helped launch Veranda in 1987 and for 25 years she has held various editorial positions including fine arts editor and decoration and design editor. Gorischek has been at Neiman Marcus for more than 20 years and is vice president of store development, where his role entails store planning, store design, visual planning and a corporate design studio.
