CONCORD, N.H.–Company C has been named a national partner of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and is committed to donating a minimum of $25,000 for breast cancer awareness, research and education.
The rug company recently released two specially designed rugs that will foster breast cancer awareness—Karen’s Rug and The Sisters’ Rug after Company C held a naming contest through social media. The two rugs are spinoffs of the company’s best-selling Garland and Giverny designs, now re-colored in shades of pink. Twenty percent of the retail price of each rug sold between now and Sept. 20, 2011, will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Both are limited edition, hand-hooked wool rugs measuring 2-by-3 feet.
In addition, in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this month, Company C will donate five percent of all sales on the weekend of Oct. 16 to 17 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
“Since its inception, Company C’s goal has been to improve people’s lives through colorful living,” said Walter Chapin, co-founder and president. “We strive to help enrich the lives of our employees, partners, customers and communities we belong to everyday. This is an important cause, one that affects so many. We are passionate about supporting this effort.”
