WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-With almost 130 exhibitors from 32 countries, the August Artisan Resource will be the largest since its first show in 2012, according to a statement from Emerald Expositions, the show’s owner and manager.
The show is scheduled for Aug. 16-19 at New York City’s Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94. According to Allison Garafalo, the show’s sales manager, Artisan Resource will have 70 new exhibitors, including a number of emerging companies making their debut through the show’s Market Incubator program. Created last year through a partnership then-show manager GLM, Hand/Eye Consulting and ByHand Consulting, this program will return next month with 15 companies.
The Market Incubator Program enables emerging artisan enterprises to exhibit at the Market Incubator Pavilion booth for three consecutive shows “at gradually increasing investment levels,” the statement said. Participants receive assistance from ByHand Consulting in show preparation, buyer outreach and onsite help.
Artisan Resource will also present eight government-sponsored pavilions, including Cambodia High Value Silk, Pro Ecuador, Ghana’s Export Promotion Authority, Indonesia’s Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, ProMexico, Panama’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, Peru’s Peruvian Pavilion and Tunisia’s Office National De L’artisanat Tunisien.
Artisan Resource will run concurrently with NY Now, which will take place from Aug. 16-20 at Pier 94 and the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, also in New York City.
