DALLAS–Dallas Market Center and ART are now accepting nominations for the 26th annual ARTS Awards, which recognize top manufacturers, retailers, designers and sales representatives worldwide. This year, there is a new category for interior designer, for a total of 27 different awards.
In addition, the awards ceremony, traditionally on the Saturday of the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, will take place on Friday of the January market, on Jan. 16, 2015.
“This year, interior designer will be added to the prestigious list of award categories, recognizing this multifaceted profession of conceptual development, project management and execution,” said
Cindy Morris, COO, Dallas Market Center. “This highly respected field is brimming with talent and of great importance to our industry.”
Regarding the new date of the gala event, Morris said “we have shifted the ARTS Awards to Friday evening to coincide with an earlier start date for the International Lighting Market as well as the Dallas Temp Show. Holding the event on Friday will reflect earlier traffic patterns and allow an increased number of retailers, manufacturers, sales reps, designers and more enjoy the special evening.”
Anyone in the home furnishings industry may nominate in all categories. Neither membership in ART nor representation at Dallas Market Center is necessary. The nomination deadline is Aug. 1, 2014.
