DALLAS–Dwell with Dignity, a designer-based, non-profit group that creates homes for the homeless and the poor, will be honored during the 24th annual ARTS Awards with the inaugural Visionary Award.
The Visionary Award recognizes industry innovation and excellence. “Dwell with Dignity’s mission to help families escape poverty and homelessness through design makes them the perfect recipient of the first Visionary Award,” said Bill Winsor, president and CEO, Dallas Market Center, which, together with ART, announced the award. “We’re honored to recognize and thank them during the ARTS Awards.”
Dwell with Dignity installs home interiors for families that include donated and refurbished furnishings and art, as well as bedding, kitchen supplies and food in the pantry. Dwell with Dignity brings good design to those less fortunate; inspiring families to maintain a standard of living they can be proud of and thrive in, said a statement from DMC.
The ARTS Awards will be presented during a gala event on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
