The winners in handmade rugs were: in the $0 to $12 per-square-foot category, Loloi Rugs; $12.01 to $23, Neman Intl.; $23.01 to $35, Authentic Looms; $35.01 to $46, Amici Imports; $46.01 to $56, Kalaty Rug Corp.; $56.01 to $65, Shalom Brothers; and $65 and up, Ariana Rugs.
For power-loomed rugs, Marcella Fine Rugs won in the $0 to $200 per square foot category; Couristan in the $200 to $400 per square foot category; Colonial Mills in the $400 to $1,000-square-foot category; and Nourison in the $1,000-per-square-foot and above category.
Renaissance Carpet & Tapestries won the contemporary rug award, and Chaman Antique Rug Gallery took the antique category. The Buyer’s Choice Award went to Capa Imports.
Visual display awards also went out to the best showroom on each of the four area rug floors in Building 1: for the third floor, Rizzy Rugs was the winner; for the fourth floor, Caravan; for the fifth floor, Chandra; and for the sixth floor, Dalyn.
