NEW YORK–The corporate owner of Linens ’n Things and Fortunoff will be among the speakers at a conference on keeping and gaining market share in an economic downturn, to be held April 29 at the Princeton Club here, 15 W. 43rd St., beginning at 8 a.m.
Richard A. Baker, president and chief executive officer of NRDC Equity Partners, will discuss gaining market share for the two home retailers, as well as for Lord & Taylor.
Other issues will include attitudes of consumers in the luxury market; retail and apparel sector outlook; advancing established brands; and delivery logistics and inventory management.
In addition to Baker, speakers at the conference, sponsored by management consultants Emanuel Weintraub Associates, will include Burt Tanksy, president and CEO of the Neiman Marcus Group; Adam J. Rifkin, senior vice president of Lehman Bros.; Homi Patel, president and CEO of Hartmarx Corp.; and Joe Gromeck, president and CEO of Warnaco.
